In the end, there is death...

There are no happy endings in life. I think there are a series of happy moments... The happy amongst us are the ones who can recognize such moments of happiness. Think about it--as soon as we are born, we begin to die. So, a happy ending can only be the resulting death. However, there is freedom in knowing that. The Buddhists say that if we acknowledge and accept death (along with disease and suffering), life becomes easy to face. I don't know about you, but this makes sense to me and is oddly comforting...
